Rihanna had an emotional reunion with her childhood school teacher during a cricket match she attended in London on Monday.
Rihanna met Roddy Estwick, one of her favorite childhood school teachers during a match at the Cricket World Cup. Rihanna described Eastwick as a “father figure” and “mentor” to her while growing up in Barbados.
“This is my teacher from school! He was a mentor and father figure to me. I haven’t seen him in years,” Rihanna commented in a clip shared by the Jamaican Observer.
Rihanna posted a picture of reuniting with her favorite teacher on her Instagram story, with the caption “My mentor, my champ, my MVP, my school teacher, my first ‘JayBrown’… #MrEastwick! You made my day.”
Rihanna went to London to watch West Indies play Sri Lanka at the ICC World Cup, but her team was defeated by the Sri Lankans. “Reppin [Barbados] and the whole #WestIndies,” she wrote on social media.
