Richard Madeley thinks Katie Price deserves to get honour from Queen for ‘services to motherhood’

Richard Madeley has praised Katie Price after watching her BBC One documentary with son Harvey and believe she should receive an honour from the Queen.

The broadcaster, who stood in for Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, took to Twitter to share his views after being "blown away" by the mum-of-five.

The 64 year old tweeted: "We just watched the Katie Price BBC2 doco. [sic]

"That woman should be in the next New Year's Honours List for services to motherhood. What a testament to the sheer unselfish power of maternal love."

He added: "Utterly blown away by her."

Katie herself responded to the supportive message and commented: "Thank you so much for your support Richard glad you enjoyed the show."

The documentary that aired on Monday night showed Katie, 42, and 18 year old son Harvey as they searched for residential colleges for Harvey to go to.

Fans were blown away by Katie's abilities as a mother and were charmed by Harvey's fun nature in scenes.

One fan wrote: "The relationship between Katie Price and Harvey.. my heart what a beautiful mum."

While a second added: "I have so much respect for you Katie, watching your documentary brings me to tears. Let the haters, hate! You are a fantastic mother and only want the best for all your babies. Take care of yourself and a big cuddle to Harvey."

After the show aired, the reality star, who showed off her new super short brunette hair, took to her own Twitter page to thanks fans for all of the supportive messages.

She gushed: "I wanted to say thank you so much to @bbcone @Minnow_Films and the general public for all your support in the lead up to #HarveyandMe and the incredible feedback tonight.

"This has really been such an amazing journey for Harvey and myself, and I want to continue the conversation surrounding the difficulties that parents of children with complex needs face, and help parents through a similar situation. Thank you all so much x."
