Reba McEntire is joining the voice cast of Fox Animation‘s feature film, Spies in Disguise. The movie is set to premiere on December 25.
The country star shared the news on Twitter, saying, “So excited to join the cast of @SpiesInDisguise.” “The movie will be in theaters this Christmas,” she added.
The Hollywood Reporter followed up a the tweet saying, “Reba McEntire (@reba), Rachel Brosnahan (@RachelBros) join #WillSmith in ‘Spies in Disguise’.”
Will Smith, who acts in the lead role, plays a spy named Lance Sterling, who is tasked with saving the world. There is no word yet on for whom McEntire will lend her voice.
Spies in Disguise is based on animated short film, “Pigeon: Impossible.”
The movie is being jointly directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane.
