Death In Paradise star Ralf Little was confronted with a wild alligator at home. The English actor, who plays DI Neville Parker in the BBC One detective drama, is currently living in Florida with his American fiancé Lindsey Ferrentino.

A clearly surprised Ralf took to social media today to document the encounter.

He shared footage of the alligator on his Instagram account, in view of his 69,500 followers.

He could be seen jumping out of his seat in the garden when his partner pointed out the creature.

“Where? woah!” he exclaimed, before making his way to the end of the garden to take a closer look.

“Meanwhile, in #Florida…” he captioned the post, followed by a laughing face and alligator emoji,

“I don’t know if you’ll be able to see this,” he said to the camera, as he walked towards the wild animal.

“But here’s what Florida wildlife is like for you.”

He then spun the camera around to show a lake at the end of the garden with an alligator in view.

“There is heron or a stork… whatever…” he began pointing out the bird in the foreground.

“There in the background is an alligator.

“Just sunning itself on the bank,” Ralf pointed out.

Many took to the comments section to share their thoughts, although a few locals pointed out that it was only a little one.

“OMG,” said Bridgerton actress, and Ralf’s former Two Pints Of Larger co-star, Kathryn Drysdale.

“Dude! Welcome to Florida! We’re happy to have you here! He’s only a little one,” wrote one social media user.

“No I’ll stay in the UK thanks,” another added.

“A bit different from Manchester,” a third remarked.

Ralf and his Death In Paradise co-stars will be heading back to the Caribbean soon to film season 11 of the show.

They will fly to the beautiful island of Guadalupe, which is the setting for the fictional island of Saint-Marie.

He will be joined by Joséphine Jobert, who plays DS Florence Cassell.

Fans of the show will be keen to see how their budding romance plays out after watching them get close in season 10.
