However, despite the bad press that the royal family has endured, recent data shows that the queen’s brand recognition is bigger than ever. According to data from German research platform Statistica, put together for Great Britain’s True Royalty TV, Queen Elizabeth has three times the global reach of Oprah Winfrey. In addition, the queen — who turns 95 this week — has managed to turn “The House of Windsor into the world’s fifth-biggest corporate brand ahead of multi-nationals such as Coca-Cola, Nike, Ferrari and Microsoft,” and if the royal family was an actual firm, it would be worth $100 billion. The queen’s personal wealth is reportedly around $560 million, made up of private country estates, as well as jewelry, painting and stamp collections (via New York Post).
Nick Bullen, co-founder and editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV, called Queen Elizabeth “the world’s longest-standing and most successful CEO,” adding that she has “built the British monarchy into one of the world’s biggest brands.”

Queen Elizabeth also remains beloved by the British people. In fact, according to a survey conducted last month by Metro UK, the queen is the most-liked member of the British royal family, earning 39% of the vote. Prince Harry and Kate, duchess of Cambridge, tied for second place, each receiving 13% of the votes. Prince William came in third, with 12%.
The public’s affection for Queen Elizabeth is apparent as she spends her 95th birthday without her husband. “I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate,” the queen said in a statement (via Harper’s Bazaar). “While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world. My family and I would like to thank you all for the support and kindness shown to us in recent days,” she shared. “We have been deeply touched, and continue to be reminded that Philip had such an extraordinary impact on countless people throughout his life.”
