Oti Mabuse, 31, was stunned after her Strictly Come Dancing partner Ugo Monye, 38, came out with a rude innuendo, which the pair addressed as they messed around behind the scenes of It Takes Two. The duo appeared on the BBC sister show on Thursday night, where they chatted to Janette Manrara about all things week three, when Ugo accidentally let slip the racy comment.
She loves a grower
As the couples head into the third week of the competition, which is movie week, Oti gushed over her partner’s development over the past few days.
Following her comments, Ugo thanked her for the compliments and admitted he was expecting big things from himself.
“I’m hoping to see improvement,” he told Janette.
“Because as Oti’s just said, she loves a grower.”
Oti nodded in agreement before she realised what he’d said, and her smile quickly fell as her eyes widened before she burst out laughing.
“We’re referring to the dancing technique!” Janette made clear, smirking while turning to the audience.
But the dancers couldn’t contain their laughter as they tried to compose themselves to answer more questions.
After their stint on the pogramme was over, they took to Oti’s Instagram account to address the remark.
The story saw Oti record them both walking down the corridor, away from the studio.
“We have to clarify just a couple of things,” Ugo could be heard saying in the back.
The two mumbled a joke to one another before the rugby player added: “She likes growth on the show.
“She likes to see development, progress.
“There are a lot of other words I could have used, except for Oti loves a grower!”
She shrieked with laughter as they disappeared off-camera.
Ahead of the show, the sportsman took his fans on a backstage tour of the Strictly studio.
“Oti and I are about to do It Takes Two…” he told his own followers as he trailed off, turning the camera to his dance partner.
“Oh my God, look at the glam!” he exclaimed, as she twirled around the room in a gorgeous emerald green ballgown.
He then gave fans a behind the scenes view of the recording studio, where they could see the crew hard at work.
“This is where the magic happens!” he whispered.
“Look them working hard, creating more unbelievable TV.”
