Lil Nas X – the Atlanta artist behind the viral country-rap hit “Old Town Road” that is currently dominating the charts – closed out Pride month by addressing his sexuality.
The musician asked his 1.4 million Twitter followers to take a close look at the lyrics to his latest song, “c7osure,” prompting some fans to wonder if Lil Nas X was coming out.
“Some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure,” he tweeted Sunday, along with a rainbow emoji.
Lil Nas X confirmed the speculation Monday, tweeting, “just cuz i’m gay don’t mean i’m not straight.”
