Luke Perry's son Jack Perry has penned a touching tribute to his father ahead of his final movie premiere.
The actor's son honoured the release of his dad's last film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, with a sentimental post on social media just months after he died from a stroke aged 52.
The much anticipated Quentin Tarantino movie is premiering on Monday night, and Perry's wrestler son marked the occasion with a sweet video of his dad starring as his character Wayne Maunder.
He wrote: “Big premiere tonight. He deserved this, and I’m very proud of it. A stud in life, and forever after. The best of the best. Love you forever. Thanks @dannydrone_for capturing and making this for me.”
The moment is even more sentimental for the 21-year-old as he actually stars in the film alongside his dad.
Speaking on Chris Jericho's podcast, Jack revealed that his Beverley Hills 90210 star dad urged him to take part so they would have it to look back on.
“He’s like, ‘I want you to be in the same film or collection of footage that I’m in,’ and he was really adamant about it,” Jack said. “I was like, ‘Alright dad, I’ll do it.’
“My dad was so excited about that. That kind of reinvigorated him and re-energized him.”
Luke passed away surrounding by his kids and fiance Wendy Madison Bauer after suffering a stroke.
He was initially on life support as doctors hoped his brain might have been able to recover.
However, his condition did not improve and his family faced the terrible decision of letting him die naturally.
