Love Island’s Molly-Mae on what really happened in first days outside the villa

Molly-Mae Hague has finally revealed what really happened in her "crazy" first days outside the Love Island villa.

The 20-year-old influencer has just landed a massive brand ambassador deal with PrettyLittleThing, designing and releasing her own range.

But it seems things things could have turned out very differently.

Molly-Mae, who was runner-up on the show with her boyfriend Tommy Fury, has revealed that she found herself in a boardroom full of brands fighting to sign her up just two day after getting back to the UK.

Speaking on PrettyLittleThing's Behind Closed Doors podcast, she said: "It was two days after I got home, I had a meeting in a hotel, we got this big boardroom and all these brands came and pitched to me.

"It was crazy, I couldn't believe it.

"I hoped and prayed when I came out that I'd have people wanting to work with me but I never expected the scale of it that it was on."

Molly added: "I had to pick a brand that I felt I could relate to the most and really get behind.

"I spoke to the guys at PLT and I think they were expecting me to want to make a range that was quite glamorous and quite girly but that actually isn't really me.

"I wanted to create a range that's very wearable, quite street-styled, clothes people can just chuck on on a day to day basis and don't really have to think about it.

"So I sat down with everyone and really wanted to show my style through that.

"The pieces I'm so happy with. When the collection all came together and when I started to see it all pieced together, it was amazing seeing it on a rail.

"It was like, 'Oh my god, this is me on a rail'. I'm so happy because it does really represent my style."

Molly also confessed that the best friend she made on the show – aside from Tommy – was Maura Higgins.

The girls have grown super close despite Maura's attempts to steal Tommy when she first went into the villa.

Molly said: "Me and Maura got very, very close, so Maura is a good friend of mine and we've formed a really good friendship and I'm just so happy to have met her, and Tommy obviously."

When asked about Maura and Lucie Donlan trying to steal her man, Molly insisted it was all water under the bridge now.

She said: "I think for me it doesn't bother me, I'm so confident in my relationship and as soon as I met Tommy I knew that we had something really, really special.

"It takes a lot to upset me, it takes a lot to get to me.

"And the things that were going on in the summer with people getting in the way, it just doesn't bother me because I know how much Tommy likes me and I like him and I knew we were really going to go from strength to strength.

"I knew we were so strong so it would take a bulldozer to come and break us up, honestly."

Molly also admitted she was worried about transferring her romance with Tommy to the outside world, but that it couldn't be better.
