Kim Kardashian West has traveled to Armenia with her children to get them baptized.
The family’s patriarch, Robert Kardashian, was of Armenian descent, and in recent years, his daughters have reconnected with their heritage. Kim was photographed arriving in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, along with her children. While Kim was accompanied by North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West, Kourtney Kardashian arrived with her children, Mason, Reign, and Penelope Disick.
According to People, Kim’s children were baptized at the Etchmiadzin Cathedral in Vagharshapat, Armenia. It’s believed that the baptism was for Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, as North West was baptized in Jerusalem in 2015. Kourtney and her children supported the Wests at the ceremony.
Several Instagram fan accounts captured footage of Kim, Kourtney, and their children walking to ceremony. People reported, “Kim and Kourtney are staying with their kids in the nearby capital city of Yerevan,” with their source “pointing out that the Etchmiadzin Cathedral is the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church.'” Kim’s husband, Kanye West, wasn’t present for the trip.
Announcing her trip to Armenia on Instagram, Kim shared an adorable throwback photo taken with Kourtney. She wrote, “We’re going to Armenia 🇦🇲,” making it clear that both sisters were excited about the visit.
