Legendary singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett is scheduled to deliver his debut performance on the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, June 27.
The Opry announced the news on Twitter, revealing Buffett will perform on the 4,930th broadcast of the Saturday Night Grand Ole Opry Show along with Opry member Brad Paisley and longtime collaborator Mac McAnally.
Buffett is known for songs like “Margaritaville” and “Come Monday” but also teamed up with country superstar Alan Jackson on “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” which spent eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Saturday Night Grand Ole Opry Show has returned to its original format as a live broadcast without a live audience. Fans can still tune in via live stream or WSM Radio.
Buffett’s debut performance on the Grand Ole Opry comes on the heels of the release of his first album in seven years, Life On The Flipside.
