James Argent has broken his silence and finally returned to social media after not posting for more than a month amid reports he had checked into a Thailand 'rehab' retreat to recover from a suspected drug overdose.
The TOWIE legend, 32, hinted at his major comeback for 2020 as he announced his upcoming performances throughout the summer at former co-star Elliot Wright’s restaurant Olivia’s La Cala in Marbella.
Arg's highly-anticipated return on Monday comes nearly two months after reports suggested he had fled to Thailand to check himself into a specialist retreat after 'two drug overdoses in two months' last year.
The Essex lad hinted that his luck is about to change as he promoted his positive summer plans by sharing a promotional poster of his Marbella residency with his 767K followers.
With regular dates spanning across April to September, the former TOWIE icon announced his scheduled live performances after 'receiving lots of comments and DMs.'
He shared a lengthy caption alongside the snap of the poster, writing: "After many comments & dm’s I can finally reveal I’ll be back @olivias_la_cala for my 2020 residency! Jessie J & Tyson Fury amongst others joined me last year.
"There will be many more familiar faces joining me this year! Here is a list of all of my gigs, Please book ASAP to avoid disappointment as they’ll all be guaranteed sell outs!"
James then listed the dates he’s set to appear at the swanky Spanish restaurant across the summer.
Monday night's Instagram post was the first time James shared anything on the social media platform in five weeks.
His last post was dedicated to his long-time pal Mark Wright, who appeared to support the star through his recent downward spiral and rumoured drug addiction.
James' return to social media comes after reports at the beginning of January claimed the star checked himself into a retreat in Thailand after "two drug overdoses".
The 32-year-old TOWIE star sparked concern after he was reportedly hospitalised for the second time in two months at the end of 2019.
The latest scare happened in December, where an ambulance was reportedly called to the former Towie star’s £1.3 million home after worried pals raised the alarm as he went missing for 48 hours.
Arg was reportedly "disorientated" and "out of it", but initially refused to get in the ambulance after medics decided he need to be hospitalised.
After vowing he would not return to the UK until he was confident that he was back on the right path, Arg reportedly then jetted off to a £20,000 a month Thai rehab facility for treatment for food, alcohol and drug addictions.
December's health scare came just months after his on/off girlfriend Gemma Collins was forced to call 999 over fears her boyfriend had collapsed while alone in his home.
The pair later broke up due to the strain on their relationship, but reunited with a lavish trip to Dubai in an attempt to make things work once again.
Speaking out about the incident, Arg previously told OK! magazine: "Gemma loves me to death. She was seriously concerned because she couldn’t get hold of me, which I understand."
After their most recent reconciliation, Arg was said to be trying to tackle his addiction demons and was ready to settle down.
In Summer 2018, he checked himself into a rehab facility, while in 2016, Arg spent time at a facility in Thailand to seek help for his weight and his partying ways.
He was also admitted to The Priory four years before that for alleged drink and drug abuse.
