Hollyoaks’ Nadine Mulkerrin admits she cried her eyes out as she drove baby home

Hollyoaks stars Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed played it super safe as they drove their baby home from the hospital – and it was a rather emotional journey.

The couple, who star as Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter in the Channel 4 soap, recently welcomed their first child together, a son named Reggie.

And when they finally got to take him home, they took extra precautions to make sure they made it safe and sound.

Nadine, 26, made her beau drive at just 5mph to ensure no harm came to her bundle of joy.

Taking to Instagram to share their journey, she said: "We’ve Left! I cried all the way home and made Rory drive 5mph.

"What a terrifying moment being left responsible with the most precious thing ever! Feeling very teary and told nearly everyone in the hospital they were an angel. (Not the drugs talking)

"Thank you all for your gorgeous messages!

"P.s Yorkshire anthems will not be withheld from this child!"

Make-up free Nadine sat in the back seat next to her baby, and threw the camera a thumbs up as she snapped a selfie.

"Obviously I'm crying my eyes out," she said in a video.

Her co-star Chelsee Healey commented: "Life starts now! Love you all and can’t wait too meet reggie"

And Rachel Adedeji added: "Love this so much"

Little Reggie was born earlier this week.

Proud first-time dad Rory broke the news with an excited post, sharing the first picture of his new arrival being cradled in Nadine's arms.

"Welcome to the family wee Reggie Speed 15.8.19," he wrote.
