EastEnders Lola star Danielle Harold looks very different in glam festive outfit

Actress Danielle Harold, who stars as Lola Pearce in long-running BBC soap EastEnders, looked world's away from her on-screen counterpart as she glammed up for Christmas festivities.

The soapstar, 30, left fans stunned as she posted a snap to Instagram showing off her stylish Christmas look, which included a gorgeous black silk corset.

Danielle left her white blonde locks falling over her shoulder in waves, and she finished the look off with a bold red lip and dramatic mascara and dark eye shadow. Keeping the caption simple, she simply posted a Christmas tree emoji.

Fans were quick to compliment the actress, with one writing: "Merry Christmas gorge xx"

A second commented: "Happy Christmas Dani xx you look stunning babes" while a third added: "absolutely stunning [heart emoji] merry Christmas."

It comes ahead of Danielle's departure from the show in a rather emotional storyline that saw Lola diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme after suffering with a seizure, with recent episodes seeing her undergoing radiotherapy appointments.

Lola had hoped the cancerous tumour could be removed but the surgery was unsuccessful and she was told in devastating scenes that she has terminal cancer.

In October, the young actress described her departure storyline as a "massively humbling experience" when speaking to Digital Spy.

Danielle said: "It gives you a different outlook on life. You think about all the things you've been moaning about in day-to-day life because something like this really opens your eyes to the horrible things going on.

"I'm so glad this storyline is being done, because it's not previously had time dedicated to it in the soap.

"It's nice to highlight this when there is so little funding for brain tumour research in the UK. Other countries have developed more than we have; I hope it raises awareness and does some good."

January is set to see actress Patsy Kensit join the soap's cast as Lola's estranged mother, Emma Harding, who will arrive in Walford following the news of her daughter's deteriorating health.

The BBC recently shared the first look at Patsy's arrival in the square in promotional photos showing Patsy standing in front of the iconic Queen Victoria pub while dressed in a blue shirt and accompanying beige trench coat.

Emma left Lola and her father behind when Lola was only three-years-old, and has never been seen on screen before.

Speaking of joining the show, Patsy said: “I’m so excited to be visiting Walford for this storyline. It has always been a dream of mine to appear in EastEnders. The cast, producers, writers and crew have been wonderful, and I’ve had a ball. Thank you so much for having me.”
