Courteney Cox is wishing her boyfriend a happy birthday!
The “Friends” alum took to Instagram this week to share a rare selfie with Johnny McDaid in honor of his 43rd birthday.
“He always listens no matter what is being said. Where others lose interest….he still cares,” she captioned a sun-filled snap with the Snow Patrol rocker. “He turns words into poetry and thoughts into songs. He has a tender heart, a beautiful mind, a wicked sense of humor and he’s not bad to look at. Happy birthday J. I love you.”

Cox, 55, has slowly begun to make her on-and-off relationship with McDaid more public after years of being notoriously tight-lipped about their romance. Back in January, during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the actress opened up about what they call each other.
“My man friend? That’s good. I don’t know if that would go over very well,” she said. “He’s my partner. That’s what he calls it, my partner. And I’m from Alabama, so you don’t really say partner unless you’re in the same sex.”

“I was in Atlanta not that long ago and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m supposed to meet my partner in section F,’ and they were like, ‘Oh, I’m sure she’s going to be there, don’t worry about it,'” Cox laughed. “Not that it matters, but it’s just a different way to speak.”
“He’s my guy, he’s my one, but saying partner’s difficult for me,” she finished.

Cox and McDaid were engaged for about a year and a half before their broke up in 2015. Their split didn’t last very long, however, as they were back together by the beginning of 2016 and have been together ever since. The couple has sparked engagement rumors, as Cox has been spotted wearing a ring on that finger, but nothing about the status of their engagement has been publicly confirmed.
