Philip Olivier has revealed that he and his partner, Amy Virtue, have welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl called Renée.

The actor, 41, revealed the exciting family news on Instagram, branding Amy a “superwoman” for delivering their 10lb 3oz daughter safely.

The couple are already parents to three sons; Oscar, Sunny Ray and Phoenix. Sharing a picture of their boys with their new baby sister, Philip wrote: “Then there was 4!

“Welcome to the world Renée Olivier. Born 24th September weighing 10lb 3oz. Well done @olivierbrothers you are superwoman.”

The boys looked overjoyed to be cradling their new baby sister, who was wrapped in a pink blanket and wearing a pink and green floral babygrow for the sweet shot.

Philip’s celebrity pals were quick to congratulate the actor, who is best known for his role as Timothy 'Tinhead' O'Leary in Brookside, which he played until the soap’s final episode in 2003.

Lucy Mecklenburgh, who is mum to one-year-old son Roman with her fiancé Ryan Thomas, commented on the post: “WOW!!!! Congratulations.”

While Scott Thomas added: “Amazing news.”

Caroline Thomas, who is married to Scott’s twin brother Adam, wrote: “The perfect family!”

And Philip’s partner Amy commented: “My babies, how did I get so lucky.”

Fans were quick to congratulate the couple on their new arrival too, with one commenting: “Gorgeous family,” and another adding: “Congratulations she is beautiful.”

Philip and Amy, whose Instagram account is private, were due to tie the knot in Cyprus in June this year, but it’s not been confirmed whether the wedding went ahead or not.

Philip announced that the couple were expecting their fourth child back in March in a sweet Instagram post.

He shared a photo of Oscar, Sunny Ray and Phoenix wearing matching pyjamas and holding a scan photo, writing: “Oops I did it again #4.”

He shared their gender reveal video a month later, with the couple expressing their excitement at the prospect of welcoming their first daughter. In the video, Amy can be heard exclaiming: “I can’t believe it!”

As well as his famous role on Brookside, Philip has starred in Big Finish's Doctor Who audio dramas, playing The Seventh Doctor's companion Hex and as Jason Gallagher in hit comedy series Benidorm.
